Modelin

hey everyone;

I'm in NYC now, and my friend emailed this to me. (It's my interview with People!!)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

*******************************************************************

She's starred in 6 oscar-nominated movies, 2 emmy nominated shows, and about a million commercials for ***********. And now she's moving on to modeling. ******** ******** will be the new face of ****. How is it going from something you love and are an expert at to going to something new that you've never done before?

It's different. I'm used to change since I didn't want to get pidgeonholed in acting so my charecters that I played were always different. I think theres a difference between trying something new, or overexagurating your abilities. I'm not forcing myself into modeling for the money, or as a publicity stunt or anything- technically, I model all the time for photoshoots. Okay I think I've done enough beating around the bush, and it's safe to say if you're an actress you're a model.

Is it difficult to channel all your feelings into modeling, like you could acting?

Not at all. For acting, you channel your emotions into how you act, and for modeling- it's all in the eyes.

Is that advice from your long time friend Giselle Bundchen?

Giselle has been very supportive of my choices to model, she helps me- give me tips, just as I helped her when she broke into the acting business. As you saw her in The Devil Wears Prada- she's a natural. And no, I didn't get that advice from Giselle, I got it from Tyra Banks on America's Next Top Model.

Ah, a ANTM fan?

Yes, I love it. I also like Project Runway and House.

All new shows? What were some shows you watched from the beginning through?

That 70's Show. I'm a big fan of Wilmer Valderrama and Ashton Kutcher. That was the only show that really made me laugh for a while. I can honostly say it's my favorite TV show.

That's interesting- your favorite show does not include the ones you were in?

I don't like to watch my work because not only is it awkward, but I begin critiquing myself.

Favorites; Food, Color, Place, Designer, Movie, Actor, Actress. Go:

Hmm, food would have to be either calamari or fettichini alfreado. My favorite color is white because it's scientifically all the colors in the world mixed, my favorite place is New York City, I love the atmosphere. My favorite designer is Dolce & Gabbana. My favorite movie is Breakfast At Tiffany's. My favorite actor would have to be Adam Sandler- I love all his movies, they make me laugh. And my favorite actresses are Audrey Hepburn and Meryl Streep.

Wow, lots of uniqueness, are you proud of that?

Everyone should be proud of their uniqueness. It's what makes you, well- you.

You starred in the Lifetime original, ***********- that broke you into the big time acting. What was it like when you were first interviewed for live TV, or when you got your first fanmail?

It hit me, like- wow, I'm known around the country now. It's really inexplainable. You have to actually feel it to know how it feels. That sounds cliche and quirky- but it's true.

Okay, well where are you heading off to next?

I'm going to get a facial [laughs] at the Argyle Salon & Spa.

Sounds nice, thanks for stopping by, one last word to all your fans?

Don't let anyone EVER tell you that you're not good enough. Stick with your goals, your dreams, your aspirations, stick to what YOU believe in, because in the end no matter how far you go- you'll always have yourself to look back on & look forward to.

wow everyone,

what a night?!

Firstly, I have to say messaging must be people's favorite way of communicating on xanga because i've gotten no comments, and all messages.

Nextly I must add how surprised I am that only two messages asked how the EMMY AWARDS were?! Everyone just wants to know more about the FOX CHOICE AWARDS.

I'll answer all those questions after I go over the emmys, since it's still very fresh in my brain =)

The ( I think ) 55th anual emmy's took place at the Shrine in LA. I didn't do the red carpet walk because I'm not on a nominated TV show. It was smoking hot out, so I feel bad for all the actresses with their hair down, and all the actors in black suits -- there were a LOT. Most actresses actually had their hair pulled back, as did I. I saw Meryl Streep there, but I didn't get to talk to her since she was on the other end of the red carpet, and I was just going around back. But she is my favorite actress next to Audrey Hepburn, and it's always exciting to see your role model in person.

I was immediatly sent into the air conditioning.  It was nice. I wasn't the first one there. Also in the room I saw Hugh Laurie, and since I don't watch THAT much TV I didn't recognize anyone else. Oh wait, I did also see Sandra Oh from Grays Annatomy I think.

I walked around a lot and talked to a lot of people. More came in as they exited the red carpet, and others came the back way. I talked with Heidi Klum for a bit, she's so excited to have her baby!!! She's lucky that even while pregnant she still looks drop dead gorgeous. I also talked to Jessica Alba, Wilmer Vallderrama, Debra Messing, David Spade, Ryan Seacrest, Heather Locklear and Christine Taylor. They are all extremly nice people! And I loved Heather's dress!!!

I love awards shows, benefits and events because I get to meet a ton of new people!

Once everyone was off the red carpet (it seems like it takes forever on TV, but in real life the red carpet walk only takes about 30 minutes) so I didn't wait that long.  We were served champagne, but that's about it. I was starving during the actual awards, but I think they don't serve food because if you get an award you don't want to go on stage with crumbs on your chin and gown.

I don't remember all the awards or all the winners because there are a lot, but I'm sure if you missed it on TV you can google who won or something like that.

After the actual giving of the awards there were about a bazillion different after parties around the area. The first one I stopped by was the Governor's Ball which was on the oppsite side of where the emmy's took place. It was still in The Shrine, so everything was very classy. it was PACKED, but the more the merrier I guess.  There were a lot of familiar faces like Jennifer Aniston and Mariska Hegrity- who is another role model of mine.

Before I went into the governers ball, I got interviewed (off record) by Tanika Ray, an Extra corrospondent. Off record just means that they didn't air it on Extra. But if you go to extra.com they probably have all their interviews there =) so check them out!

The Govoner's ball got really packed, and around ten I left and headed to the Roosevelt Hotel. Lot of people there too.

as you can see, I didn't party hop that much and I left the Roosevelt hotel at around 2 in the morning. Overall it was a VERY fun night.

Now to answer your THREE Questions =) about the emmys :

One messager asked if I talked to Mellisa or Joan Rivers?

No, actually, I didn't even see Joan all night. They don't really interview people as much as they critique them on their clothes & dresses. I did get interviewed by Samantha and Jason, coorispondents from E!. And I was supposed to get interviewed backstage with Jullianna Depandi another coorespondent from E! but they changed everything up and decided that she would innterview winners--oh well =)

The next messager asked who do you think was best dressed and who do you think was the worse?

Personally I thought Ellen Pompeo's was gorgeous, but inconvienent because it looked velvet and she wore her hair down she must of been DYING from that heat. So my runnerup, is either Tyra Banks who looked stunning as usual or Brad Pitt!!!! =) OH and Eva Longoria looked cute.

And as for the worse dressed- I don't want to be mean so I'll leave that to the fashion experts to decide.

Did you get a giftbag?

Yes I did, a very nice one worth about $30,000! But now the IRS is making us pay a TAX on the giftbags, so I have to pay about 10 thousand dollars in taxes, but that's nothing compared to what the oscar taxes will be. I estimate they're gift bags are worth $100,000 that means the tax on them will be about 30 thousand dollars!!!!

now to answer your bazillion questions about the TEEN CHOICE AWARDS;

I'll try to answer everyone's as best I can, I can't paste everyones message in here because that would make this entry go on forever, and it already goes on long enough, so I'll just answer them in a  big paragraph.

Did you win an award? I didn't win any award at the TCA's, I was just attending on invite. Did you walk on the red carpet? I walked the redcarpet. What other celebrities did you see? I saw Lindsay Lohan, I also saw Kristen Bell, Christina MIllian, Dane Cook, Adam Sandler, Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Wilmer Valderrama, Brooke Hoagan, Jessica Simpson, Ashlee SImpson, Gwen Stephani, Christina Agulara, Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie, Justin Timberlake, Eve, Jennifer Aniston, Nick Lachey, Kevin Federline, Jessica Beil, Travis Barker, Drew Barrymore, Carmen Electra, Nicky Hilton, Kristen Cavaliri, Rihanna, Pink, Beyonce, Mischa Barton and a lot more that I can't remember! Do you get free giftbags from the TCA's? No I did not recieve a gift bag- i didn't win an award! Was Lauren Conrad there? I didn't see her, shemight have been though- its dark and crowded.

Well, now I have to pack to fly back to NYC to prepare for the 2006 MTV VMA's, which are going to be a blast, so please be patient if I don't update in a while

hey everyone

Finally updating.

So I had to fly back to LA today, after getting my dress for the VMAs.

I have to go to the Argyle Salon & Spa today to get my hair done, then my stylist and I are going to get my final dress, then I am getting dressed- makeup, then it's off to the emmys which are at LA's shrine auditorium.

I will try to update with all of what happened, the after parties run pretty late, so I might no update until tomorrow.

love you,

xomisskiss

Hello, everyone.

Wow, I've recieved lots of messages! So I'm going to answer them as most as I can.

So, I actually do know who is hosting the VMA's, and I can't beleive I didn't remember this- Jack Black. I don't know the man personally but he seems very funny. The MTV VMA's are on Augest 31 so watch them!!!!!

Anyway, onto the messages (once again I don't know how to do this- my good friend Ashlee did it for me, and will soon teach me to do things on my own :) ) this one was about what I did this week. & i'll be more then happy to answer that.

Well, I'll start with Monday- a pretty casual day.  I finalized to my stylist that I wanted this gorgeous Missoni cocktail dress to wear to the VMA's, then I got my hair cut at Sally Hershberger in Los Angeles, just a trim. Then I boarded a plane ( nothing too fancy. ) and flew to NYC, where I met up with my long time friend and we went to Barney's new york & I bought a cute white hobo chloe purse. Then we crashed back at her place at the Cipriani.

Tuesday, I went to the nightclub- Marquee, where my good friend and the co-owner, Noah Tepperberg was throwing his birthday, I had a blast.  Actually, I spent the majority of my week at Marquee, a very fun place to spend my week, if you were wondering. The party started at around 4, I got there at 7- the club was loaded with people including Christana Agulara and her husband- excuse me I don't remember his name. They are very cute together, and I think christina is an amazing singer. Marc Jacobs was also there- I love his clothes.

Then, on Wednesday,I club hopped for Paris Hilton's CD release party. First we (me and my friend & everyone else) went to Suite in Miami, a small very nice club then we moved back to Marquee.  Paris is a great singer, her new CD rocks- I reccomend buying it!  Another birthday :) was Mr. Hilton who might have stopped by? I think they actually were singing together which was very cute. And Kathy- who I've met before and I must say is the nicest lady you'll ever meet- had this huge blowup of Paris's new CD, it was funny & very cute to see such a close family that can survive the rumors and everything else out there.

Also, I want to say happy birthday to Madonna who turned 48!!!!  She had her party in London, so I couldn't fly out to go, but she is a very talented, very wise woman, and I wish her the best.

Anyway, people wanted to know about the FOX teen choice awards which was at the gibson amphitheater in California. They were a BLAST! I had so much fun. I got to meet someone I've been wanting to meet- Dane Cook, and he is as funny in person as he is on TV. (Yes I watch TV :)

I wasn't nominated for anything, but just watching it was a blast. Okay, and I have recieved a couple messages asking if I noticed any tension between Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey? Well, besides this one part when Nick was like, "wow this is awkward" then no. They both seemed to be having fun---seperately of course. And I talk to nick a couple times before, and I think he's happy with the MTV VJ.

The last message was "what did I wear for the choice awards" haha nice try. You can easily google it.

I'm not doing this to be mean- I'm not telling you who I am for my safety, because I've seen and heard about how people will be mean, leave mean comments and everything.

I am in NYC for a bunch of reasons- one of them to pick up my dress for the VMA's. But sometimes, you don't get your final dress this early.  I am flying to LA tomorrow morning to get my dress for the Emmy's, which are on Augest 27th. Then I have to rush to get my hair and makeup done. Good thing I'm not nominated, because I might make the worst dressed list. :)

Just kidding, my dress is fabulous and I trust my makeup artist, Ramon Shavay to make the best of time. Same goes with my hair. I have an appointment at the Argyle Salon because my usual hair cutter, Sally Hershberger at John Frieda is doing a long list of other gals` hair I think one of them is Scarlett Joannson. She always looks gorgeous.

Anyway, I'll try to comment early before I leave tomorrow, just to update on what I'm doing :)

But, thanks again to fans and readers!

dont forget to message me or comment me with any questions, I'll be more then happy to answer them!!!!!

love you,

xomisskiss

Hey everyone,

you can read my about me section to find out more about me.

Thanks to my friend, Ashlee, for setting this thing up for me.

now onto my actual blog thing I guess.

Hey everyone,

I'm currently in NYC, staying at my friend's condo in the newly opened Cipriani condos right about the resturant/club&bar. I love NYC, but there's always a good reason for me flying across the country. My house, if you didn't know is located in west hollywood. I won't give any more details then that. so new york is pretty far away.

I'm in new york preparing for the 2006 MTV VMA`s-- which I am very excited for since it`s a very fun award show, but unlike the oscars or the emmys- its very casual and set back. Just like the CHOICE awards I was at only less then a week ago.

As you know, or may not know, last year the VMA's took place in malibu. well, now they're back to NYC && it's supposed to be a great show.  I'm not caught up in everything yet, unlike most people- I don't know whose hosting.  But don't worry- the people who attend the show know as little as the people who are watching from the comfort of their own homes--- lucky ducks.  So, when the winners are said- there's no conspiracy, no one really knows before the name is called. Not even the host or the people awarding the awards. haha that sounded confusing.

Anyway, I'd love it if you'd watch the pre-show. or whatever they happen to call it these days.  I have my dress picked out by my stylist (name would go here if I wasn't trying to protect my identity) it's a female and she is wonderful & I have to thank her for always picking me out the most gorgeous outfits available.

This year I am wearing a lovely dress by Missoni- it's very different because it's very colourful.  Hopefully now that I wrote that, I won't get interviewed & have to say what I'm wearing.

But if I do, then the secrets out I guess- at least you'll know that I am real.

Anyway, a member of my close family lives nearby, so I'm heading over to his/her place now.

I appriciate comments =)

& I want to say thanks to all my fans. I'm not getting an award from the VMA's, but without my fans I probably wouldn't even be GOING to them- so thank you so much.

xomisskiss

ps. I got a private message, well actually- to be honost, I don't know what that is, but my friend who is helping me out with this since I don't have my own OFFICIAL site, she told me someone asked why I used the name misskiss, what it meant.  well-- I will tell you that, my senior year of highschool I walked into the room with a hershey's kiss in my mouth, and the teacher said, why hello miss kiss & since then all my close friends I've grown up with call me miss kiss.

toodaloo, cuties.
